'Ordinary World'

A very enjoyable book with some great characters and a twist towards the end that I genuinely didn't see coming, though thinking back there were hints about it. I'm a tough grader when it comes to my entertainment, but I'm giving this 4.5*.
4* for the book, the characters, the story, & an extra .5* for managing to hit me with an unforeseen twist which doesn't happen often.

Wow! What a MIND BENDER! I loved it! I couldn't read fast enough, but tried to pace myself so I wouldn't miss anything. I finished it in the wee hours this morning.
Ordinary World is a FORCE!
Minor comments:
a) I loved all the color references - not just blue but azure, not yellow but xanthous, not merely green but APPLE GREEN (my favorite & I love how it rippled throughout the story);
b) I could SEE the light/stars/radiance experienced at different times - vividly described, thank you;
c) love the "cockroach moving under a pancake" analogy - made me laugh and cringe uncomfortably at the same time - brilliant!;
d) the whole mental illness scenario with delusions, schizophrenia, anxiety/panic attacks, meds, facilities, etc. was spot on. It was quite realistic and exceptionally portrayed. Bravo.

Also, your musical choices are perfect here.

The Unsung Hero

A novelette with a tale worth telling: the TRUE story behind one of the most famous of Dwarven legends. Gathered together in a wintry land in a storied bar.
Who is the stranger among them? How will his friend's narrative challenge the very lore of the dwarves?
In rich prose - evocative and fantastic, Jack Canis weaves a legendary story for all time.
5 stars.

The Unsung Hero

A wonderful story which, despite the fantasy setting, could easily be an examination of real-world history and the way in which the largest party amongst the victors of a battle or war claim the glory, regardless of the truth.
In this case, an encounter in a bar leads to a retelling of an historic battle and the revelation of who the true hero of The Battle of Telemarque is.
Told wonderfully by the two people who were there, the acknowledged hero and the true, Unsung Hero, they enrapture a party of dwarves.
Whose rendition of the battle sparks the truth?
4 stars.

The Unsung Hero

This is such a fun read. Uplifting, adventurous, fraught with a battle, a little bit of horror. You get it all in this novelette.
A small one to wet your whistle in the fantasy vein. SO MUCH FUN! Dramatic, humor. I'd love more in this universe.

It was awesome!
Eerie, suspenseful and an ending I didn’t expect, which was even better. I can see a novel in that one!

Absolutely loved it and you described everything beautifully.
Couldn’t fault it. Your writing is unique and totally brilliant!

The Broken Fan
The Broken Fan shows there is incredible potential within your art. The juxtaposition of the physical broken fan vs. the protagonist as a “broken fan” is excellent!

You also did an excellent work with providing subtle hints in the first part of the piece that not everything is quite as it seems.

Great work overall!
